Mark Weil

Mark Weil

Chief Executive Officer 

Joined 2018

Mark worked as a consultant for two decades, in Europe, North America and Asia.   He became a partner at Oliver Wyman, where he ran the global retail banking practice and latterly the EMEA region.  Following this, he was appointed Marsh’s CEO, UK and Ireland. During his tenure, it became the largest insurance broker in the UK.  He has led work on cyber risk for the UK government.

Mark has a degree in Engineering from Cambridge University.

Patrick De Graaf

Previously, Patrick held senior positions at KPMG, most recently that of CFO for KPMG Netherlands.  He has a strong track record in finance management, with in-depth experience of deal finance support, operations and risk and quality management.

He holds degrees in Business Administration and Accountancy and has attended INSEAD and the International Institute for Management Development. 

Russell Sheldon

Chief Operations and Technology Officer

Prior to joining TMF Group, Russell was Chief Client Officer at technology solutions firm Sabio. Over 20 years, he has built a strong track record leading innovative operational and technology change in a range of global professional services companies covering all TMF Group’s service lines, including NGA Human Resources, Axiom Law, AON Hewitt and PricewaterhouseCoopers. 

Angelica Thijssen

Angelica Thijssen

Chief HR Officer

Joined 2019

Angelica came to TMF Group after six years as Chief HR Officer at Intertrust Group. This followed eight years as Global Head of Talent Management, Merchant Banking at Fortis Bank. Before specialising in HR, she held senior positions in the finance industry, working for MeesPierson and ING Bank.

She supports the CEO, the Executive Committee and the wider organisation in focusing on attracting, developing and engaging our talent, building the corporate culture and in driving corporate social responsibility.

Angelica holds a Master’s in Law from Maastricht University, an MSc (Economics) from the London School of Economics and a Certification in Corporate Governance from INSEAD.

Severine Canova

Head of Risk & Compliance

Joined 2018

Severine joined TMF Group in December 2018 as a member of the TMF Luxembourg management team. She went on to become Executive Director, leading the governance setup for the Luxembourg market. Her primary focus was risk management, combined with championing organisational compliance.

Prior to joining TMF Group, Severine spent 18 years with Citco Group in Luxembourg and France, where she rose to become Managing Director of the Luxembourg Corporate and Trust business.

Severine holds a Master of Business Law from Strasbourg University Robert Schuman.

Daniel Max

Daniel is responsible for TMF Group’s services for corporate, financial services and private clients.

Previously, he led Marsh's international client advisory services and its UK private equity practice. He has built a strong track record, delivering data, advisory and process solutions to corporate and financial services clients around the world.

Jan Willem van Drimmelen

Jan Willem van Drimmelen

Before joining TMF Jan Willem spent 12 years at Intertrust Group where leadership roles included Global Head of Corporate Clients, Global Head of Sales and Head of North America.

After Intertrust Jan Willem worked with the former CEO to establish Create Capital Partners, a private equity firm in Amsterdam. Prior to 2007 he worked in structured products at merchant bank Kempen & Co and as an international tax attorney with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

Jan Willem obtained his Master’s degree in Tax Law from the University of Leiden. He is a director on the board of the Netherland America Foundation and co-founder of the annual Netherland America Friendship Gala.

Shagun Kumar

Shagun Kumar

Head of APAC

Joined 2015

Shagun joined TMF Group in 2015 as India Managing Director and thereafter became the market leader for Southeast Asia, which went on to deliver as a top-performing market. He has led business development for Asia Pacific since October 2021 and was promoted to head of region in May 2022. 

Prior to joining TMF Group, Shagun’s career spanned both consulting and functional finance, having worked at Arthur Andersen, General Electric, Microsoft and Grant Thornton. He sits on the board of several multinational corporation clients as an independent director. 

Shagun received a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce and post graduated as a chartered accountant. He is also a certified Six Sigma black belt and holds a professional degree in bartending. 

Frank Welman

Frank Welman

Head of EMEA

Rejoined 2019

Frank began heading up the newly created International Region after a period with Intertrust where he was Managing Director, Luxembourg and member of the Executive Committee. His extensive experience includes roles at BDO and MeesPierson Trust. 

He was TMF Group’s Head of Benelux from 2011 to 2015. 

Frank’s career in the trust sector has focused on efficiency improvement, revenue growth and EBITDA margins.

Michael Seligman

Michael Seligman

Head of the Americas

Joined 2011

Michael joined TMF Group as Global Relationship Director, helping top clients with expansion plans.

He became Country Manager for Sweden and, in 2017, Regional Managing Director, Nordics (Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland), later adding South West Europe to his portfolio. 

His early career in research covered global brands, moving on to the agriculture, forestry and telecommunications sectors in Africa and Asia.  He joined telecommunications construction specialists MyCom which he bought before expanding into Thailand and Malaysia. After selling it, he focused on raising, structuring and managing funds and setting up SPVs.  

Michael graduated from the European Business School.
